About Select

Select Program

As a part of the competitive program at Salmon Creek, Select teams fill an important role. We have local teams that play in the PML and travel teams that are involved in the highest level of competition in the state. Our volunteer coaches spend a lot of their own time in training to learn the newest coaching techniques. As with any team, commitment is important and families should discuss the actual time commitment with the team you are considering.

This is a very cost effective program. New uniforms were designed with the parental pocketbook in mind. Coaches and parents will work together to determine the number of tournaments a team will play in as well as fund raising options to defray those costs.

Your player will have high quality volunteer coaches working under our Director of Coaching, Joe Frimpong. Play at this level may offer your child a chance to play in the Washington State Founder's Cup or the Challenge Cup against other select teams. Salmon Creek Soccer Club is excited about this program and hope that you will be a part of it. Each season we look for the best coaches around to fill in the age gaps. Tryouts for the High School age boys is in February before the school team tryouts and the rest of the ages begin in April. Go to the Tryouts page for the most current dates.
