Salmon Creek Welcomes GU13 Coach
Salmon Creek scores with our new coach for the girls U13 age group. Tom Benson, long time coach and player has been a Salmon Creek staple for many years. With children of all ages in our programs, Tom has a vested interest in ensuring that the new Nemesis 01 team is successful.

Tom grew up playing soccer and was even offered a college scholarship to play but at the last minute decided on baseball instead. With a total of 41 years playing experience under his belt, Tom shows a passion for the sport that rubs off on his players. Raising 4 kids has allowed him to truly relate to his player's experiences on and off the field. He is very successful at teaching tactical awareness but never forgets the importance of maintaining core skills. Tom is constantly encouraging his players to build on their previous knowlege and then apply that to the game.

We are excited about having such a dedicated coach in one of the younger age groups. players who receive quality coaching while still young are the most successful later in their soccer careers. Tom is holding two kick arounds prior to tryouts. You can also register for tryouts online to make sure you are on the mailing list for any other important information. Download the team flyer for kick around information and the Tom's plans for the 2014-15 season.

US Envoy to Guatemala Returns home

"Thank you to Sports United and US Soccer SO MUCH for facilitating her visit. We could have not asked for a better Sports Envoy. All we asked her to do was to be herself and she hit it out of the park at every event. She represented our country with the highest honor. Guatemalans were captivated by her. She motivated so many young girls and boys to pursue their dreams through hard work. We highly recommend Tina as a Sports Envoy for any future trips".
