  • Parents: Gain a better appreciation for the game your kids love, see their play and progress from a new perspective - become a referee.
  • Coaches: Enhance your coaching perspective by becoming a certified referee and be part of the solution - more adult referees.
  • Entry Level Referee Classes: You can begin refereeing recreational games at age 10 so look for an upcoming clinic for that great part time job!
  • To Register: For this or other WA clinics, go to and follow: Instruction > Clinic & Events Schedule, then dropdown > Never been a USSF referee before > & dropdown Clinic Area > 05 Southwest District
  • To Attend: You MUST do 8 hours of online modules, print and bring proof of completion to the clinic. Details when you register.

Grade 9's can upgrade by signing up for an ELC. They need to logon to the WAREFEREES.ORG website and that option is available to them. That will be for their 2016 badge.

We no longer have a separate clinic for new grade 9's. They take the same course as the grade 8's but do a different test.

For recerts for grade 8: they need 5 total hours (2 hours in class and 3 hours online, where they also take the test)

For recerts for grade 9: they only do the 3 online hours and take the online test

Both are $50. This $50 will be reimbursed to you by SCSC, once you have Reffed 10 games for SCSC.
